Amy Amy Amy

No celebrity blog can call itself that until there is an Amy Winehouse post so here goes.

After a court appearance on Wednesday, Amy went to a nightclub to have some fun. She attended Sadie Frost's party and apparently (and surprisingly) behaved.

Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore continues to make interesting fashion choices as she goes shopping in LA last Tuesday. Although I hate ET I love her. Her clothes are a bit iffy sometimes but I do like this outfit.

Lindsay Lohan Comments on Natasha Richardson's Death

While reading Oh No They Didn't I found out about the tragic death of Natasha Richardson. They also posted Lindsay Lohan's comments. She co-starred with Richardson in The Parent Trap when she was only twelve.

Lindsay's comments:

"She was a wonderful woman and actress and treated me like I was her own," the now 22-year-old starlet said of former costar who died Wednesday from head trauma apparently suffered in a skiing accident two days before.

"I didn't see much of her over the years but I will miss her," Lohan added. "My heart goes out to her family. This is a tragic loss."

Natasha left behind her husband of 14 years, actor Liam Neeson, sons Michael, 13, and Daniel 12, mother Vanessa Redgrave, sister Joely Richardson and aunt Lynn Redgrave.

Comic Relief - French & Saunders "Mamma Mia" Spoof

I found this on Oh No They Didn't, it has Jennifer Saunders, Dawn French, Joanna Lumley with Sienna Miller, Alan Carr, Philip Glenister

I don't know if it's just me but I think this is simply hilarious. I have also been informed there are other spoofs I should check out. If I think they're worth it I'll post them.

OASIS banned from performing in China?

"OASIS have been banned from performing in China.Concert promoters have stopped selling tickets to two planned gigs after government officials revoked their licence.

The band have released a statement revealing that the reason behind the move was NOEL GALLAGHER’S involvement with the Free Tibet Benefit Concert – 12 years ago.

As a result they have been branded ‘unsuitable’ by officials."

WHAT? This is just too ridiculous...
If you want to read more about it go to The Sun

I just don't know what to say, I just think it's so unfair for the fans.
FREE TIBET! (I wonder if this blog will be blocked in China, if all the blogs aren't already)

Eyebrows

You've probably seen the Cadbury advert with the kids and their crazy eyebrows. If you haven't it's definitely worth watching:

But

Have you seen Lily Allen do it?

Since it can't be emebed I'll just give you the link to the video on Youtube

Angie is back

After 16 months of not working and just being a mom, Jolie is back filming the spy thriller Salt. The film is a about "a rogue CIA operative who tries to clear her name after she is accused of being a Russian sleeper agent — perhaps falsely, perhaps not." says Anthony Breznican of USA TODAY.

Since he obviously knows more about it than me, I leave you with the best bits of his article to satisfy your curiosity:

""She's a character you never know," says Lorenzo di Bonaventura, who also produced Transformers and the upcoming G.I. Joe. "People who think they know the real her may or may not. Those who think they can tell whether she's in a disguise also may or may not.

Jolie's character, Evelyn A. Salt, originally was called Edwin A. Salt, back when the role was intended for Tom Cruise, who dropped out last summer.

The film co-stars Liev Schreiber (Defiance) as Winter, her ally and supervisor in the CIA's Russia office, and Chiwetel Ejiofor (Children of Men) as Peabody, a counterintelligence officer who tries to take her down.

Salt is being directed by Phillip Noyce, who made the 1990s-era Jack Ryan films with Harrison Ford, Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger.

He promises Salt will be "a reality-based spy movie with action set pieces as thrilling as the most crowd-pleasing movies of this genre."

Salt shoots in Washington and New York City. It opens in 2010."

And now Mick Jagger provides a joke:

P.S.: Her 16 month break means there will be no Angie movies in 2009... Shoot!

Perfume Post

Ok, so I must apologise for my latest post, it wasn't exactly for the tl;dr crowd (too long;didn't read) so I'll try to keep this one as short and interesting as possible.

As you may have noticed, there is a new thing going on these days, celebrity perfumes. They either start their new brand (like Kate Moss, Britney Spears or Paris Hilton) or they give their face to an already existing one (Beyonce, Enrique Iglesias, Liv Tyler).

I don't know what you think about it, I personally wouldn't choose a perfume based on the person advertising it, since the really important thing is the smell, and I'm not sure those celebrities stick to their own fragrance, so you won't really "smell like them".

However, the reason we are seeing so many celebrities sticking their names in a label is because it sells! It really does! Take Christina Aguilera for example, hers had the highest perfume sales ever in Israel! And now, the lastest addition is Halle Berry, launching her first fragrance. Just imagine how much money you make with it! It's a tiny little bottle filled with dreams and water!

Here we have Xtina

And last but not least, Miss Kate Moss

Back!

After some trouble with my internet connection (that's what you get when you live in student halls) I'm back and to celebrate what would be better than a "is she too skinny" post.

Celebrities have to worry about their weight constantly, but they don't just get attention for slacking (what happened to you Val Kilmer?) but also for being too skinny (yeah I'm surprised there's such a thing in Hollywood). Keira Knightley's worried the constant talk about her weight may affect her career. Mischa Barton says she's never been happier and Lindsay Lohan, well, Lindsay isn't saying much actually, her family is.

I have to be honest here, I tried to watch that dreadful reality show about Dina Lohan and Ali Lohan (her mother and 15-year-old sister) and I just couldn't stand it! I mean The Osbournes, for example, were a dysfunctional family that was fun to watch, the Lohans are just annoying in so many different levels... I feel sad for Lindsay. At least she's happy with her girlfriend (oh wait, apparently they've been fighting a lot!)

Okay, going back to the original topic, it's funny that a person like Lohan who hasn't been formally "working" (I believe they call what she usually does "acting") attracts so much attention and can fuel so many discussions. This time, they're not related to Samantha Ronson (the girlfriend) but they are in fact about er weight. Old news?

Yeah, we have seen this before, Lindsay Lohan's magical disappearing act but I guess we're up for an encore.

So apparently Dina Lohan is worried about her daughter's health, claiming she skips meals and is too stressed. Her sister, it is said, is also buying her all her favourite food which she continually ignores. She lost 14lbs in two months and won't leave Los Angeles without Sam. This gloomy perspective doesn't really match the happy pictures we've been seeing of Linsay and Lily Allen having fun and getting matching tattoos.

Okay, enough talking, PICTURE TIME

BFF's get matching tattoos

M.I.A., Third World Democracy

As we all know by now, M.I.A. performed at th Grammys but what most of us didn't know was answered in an interview to Jack Sussman, CBS' exec VP of specials and live events. The question and answer were:
Was it true you had a gurney waiting on the side of the stage while M.I.A., who is set to give birth any day now, was performing?
“She went into contractions when the show went on the air and she was not supposed to go on until act 8!” says Sussman. “I asked her to just hang on until 10 ET. The kid’s a gamer...and by the way, the gurney is always there. Every once in a while, someone falls.” (!!!)

Anyway, here is the video of her performance, along with Kanye West and Jay Z. I know the quality isn't so good but it was the best I could find. I'll try to replace it with a better one as soon as possible.

John Mayer and Ellen sing Lady Gaga (in the bathroom)

I came across these videos of the Ellen DeGeneres show, the first is the two of them singing Lady Gaga "Just Dance" and the second one is the actual interview.

Priceless Performance:

Grammy Quotes

You can read about the Grammys everywhere so I thought I'd post some of the night's best quotes. Trust me, it's worth it:

"Ninety-nine percent of my life is still completely common. I do have a golden helicopter. I fly it to Malibu. But other than that, I consider myself like everyone else."

– John Mayer, discussing how he relates to "regular people" with E! host Ryan Seacrest

"Before that commercial break, we all heard from a promising new bass player named McCartney. Remember that name people, it's gonna be big."

– Jack Black, following Paul McCartney's performance of "I Saw Her Standing There"

"Don't bring sand to the beach."

– A newly single Paris Hilton, explaining to Ryan Seacrest why she didn't show up with a date

"I kissed a girl and I, well, I had to apologize to Katy Perry for running up and kissing her, and I promised to stay at least 50 feet away from her."

– Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, joking while introducing Justin Timberlake's performance

"Isn't it great to see the Jonas Brothers and Stevie Wonder back together again?"

– Blink-182's Mark Hoppus, before announcing that his band was reuniting after breaking up in 2005

Okay, I'm used to John Mayer's sense of humour, as well as Jack Black's. I have given up on following Paris Hilton's relationship status and I'm pretty tired of all the "I Kissed a Girl" jokes but I must admit I am really excited about Blink 182.

Not Knowing Is Worse

I have been checking the most expected films of 2009, as well as some trailers and one particular film caught my attention. Maybe it's because it's Nicolas Cage, or maybe because it leaves you wanting to know more. I'm always skeptical about these kinds of films, but I thought I would share.

Here is the trailer for the feature film "Knowing" from Summit Entertainment, to know more you have to wait until March.

M.I.A. - performing at the Grammys or having a baby? Dilemmas, dilemmas...

M.I.A., the much talked about singer/songwriter was already nominated for an Academy Award due to her contribution for the score of the film "Slumdog Millionaire" but is also a Record Of The Year nominee. Along with the nomination, she is also set to perform at the Grammy ceremony, Sunday February 8. The problem? It's her baby's due date.
Along with all these nominations and praise she was also, ironically, named Men Of the Year along with the band MGMT (Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser) by GQ magazine. One thing is certain, 31 year-old Mathangi Arulpragasam (her birth name) is one to watch for this year.
To finish this post, I leave you Paper Planes.

Hey Mickey You're So Fine, You're So Fine You Blow My Mind

Hey Mickey, WHAT ARE YOU WEARING?
My favourite "comeback" of the year who has been praised for his role in "The Wrestler", even scoring an Oscar nomination, seems to be ultra-confident when it comes to his personal style. Don't get me wrong, I love people who have the courage to step out dressed in whatever they feel like but seriously, 56 years-old and you're dressing like 'N Sync in 2000... And we all know how bad that was.

He's Just Not That Into You

Everyone's been talking about this film, and waiting for it's release tomorrow, but the question is, what is so great about it? I mean, okay, I get that an all-star cast immeadiately makes a film look more interesting but there a lot of movies packed with celebrities that end up being flops. The plot of this one seems to be the typical "womenVSmen", "can't live with them, can't live without them" sort of story that we can all feel like we relate somehow but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. I won't judge until I actually get to see it (althoug I already am) but I have to admit, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Connely all shoved in the same screen seems interesting. Not a big fan of Scarlett Johansson or Ben Affleck but we'll see. Meanwhile, here's everything you need to know about it curtesy of www.imdb.com :

Director:
Ken Kwapis

Plot:
The Baltimore-set movie of interconnecting story arcs deals with the challenges of reading or misreading human behavior.

Cast:
Drew Barrymore
Jennifer Aniston
Ben Affleck
Scarlett Johansson
Justin Long
Jennifer Connelly
Ginnifer Goodwin
Kevin Connolly
Bradley Cooper
